Marie Stopes International Organization Nigeria (MSION) in 2014 contracted Preston Associates to conduct a formative research on family planning uptake amongst youths in FCT, Kano, Lagos, Nasarawa, Benue, Edo and Anambra States. The research was conducted from August till October, through critical literature reviews, quantitative data collection, focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with respondents drawn from males and females; rural and urban dwellers; in-school and out-of-school youths (15-19 years old); service providers and parents.
