National Landscape Analysis on RMNCH for UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities (UNCoLSC)
WHO; 2014
WHO; 2014
Thirteen (13) underutilized, high-impact commodities for women and children were prioritized globally as tracers to provide a practical focus for combating maternal, newborn and child mortality. They include; female condoms, implants and emergency contraceptives for reproductive health; oxytocin, misoprostol and magnesium sulfate for maternal health; injectable antibiotics, antenatal corticosteroids, chlorhexidine gel and neonatal resuscitation devices for neonatal health; and amoxicillin, ORS and zinc for child health.
In 2014, Preston Associates for International Development (PAID) was contracted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to conduct a baseline analysis of the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) Landscape Synthesis in Cross River, Ebonyi, Gombe, Kaduna, Lagos States and the Federal Capital Territory. This provided the impetus for an end line analysis to track progress, two years later in 2016.
